Mornıng Report (Trive Yatırım Menkul Değerler )

• After Tuesday’s brief slowdown in the gains on Tuesday, the BIST expanded on Wednesday’s historic peak, closing yesterday 1.76% higher at 8646, and with a turnover of TRY 113.1bn, while setting the new record at 8682.
• The Conglomerates and Industrial stocks both recorded gains of over 2% each, with the Conglomerates closing nearly 3% higher, in fact, and the Banks were not too shabby either, rising on average 1.45%, ahead of AKBNK’s quarterly results.
• Thus, KCHOL (speculations of Qatari interest in YKBNK)-KRDMD and ENKAI were yesterday’s biggest movers in the right direction among the BIST30 stocks, and only BIMAS closed in the negative territory, followed by the sub-par performances from FROTO and THYAO.
• As of print, the TRY is trading considerably weaker against both the USD and the Euro at 30.45 and 33.14, respectively while the DXY is trading lower at the 103 level.
• On the Bonds’ front, both the 2yr and the 10yr rates fell by 6bps and 26bps to 42.21% and 27.44%, respectively.
• Brent is trading lower as of yesterday’s closing number at $78.93, amid talks of a cease-fire in Gaza, and Ounce GOLD is flat at $2056, as of print.
• OPEC signalled it will stick with oil production cutbacks this quarter, in an attempt to avert surplus, according to media sources, while pledging around 900k b/d additional cutbacks in the first quarter due to global demand slowdown.
• Yesterday, though the Euro zone headline inflation appeared to ease slightly, core figures declined less than expected. Accordingly, the annual headline price rose to 2.8%, compared to December’s 2.9% reading, however Core inflation fell only to 3.3% vs the estimated 3.2%, while the December reading was 3.4%.
• The US PMI figures rose to 49.1, thus its highest level since November 2022.
• Meanwhile, Türkiye’s PMI figures increased to 49.2 in January, from 47.4, but the below 50 reading suggests that the Turkish manufacturing sector is still in contraction.
• Last week, Foreign Investors were Net Buyers to the tune of $62.5mn EQUITIES, and Net Buyers of $3.7mn BONDS.
AGENDA:
• There are no major macro releases expected on the local front, while the US NFP figures (BBGe: 185k) will be most important macro release of the day, followed by the Unemployment Rate and Durable Goods Orders.

CORPORATE:
• AKBNK: The Bank released a 4Q24 Net Profit of TRY 15.10bn,vs the market expectation of TRY 13.3bn. For 2024, the Bank expects 40% loan growth, NIM of 4%, 80% F&C growth, and 30% growth in capital growth.
