The BISTBIST-100 Index started Wednesday on a limited positive trend, facing strong profit sales in the second session to close at 4,827.04, down 3.46%. Global stock markets, where profit-taking continued, closed with limited falls. Global risk appetite, which had strengthened over the past month on the expectation that the Fed would reduce the pace of rate increases, has started to weaken again on renewed recession concerns. While the VIX Index hovers above 22 volatility and selling pressure in the U.S. Stock Markets will regain strength. The BIST-100 Index, which has seen a strong rise without any significant corrections for the past two months, ended the day with strong profit sales. Technically, profit sales may continue in the short term, although there are upward attempts due to the Index breaking down the short-term uptrend. The BIST is currently the only alternative investment tool among TRY-based assets in an inflationary environment, and profit sales are experienced due to continued strong domestic investor demand. We expect any sharp pullbacks to present buying opportunities. The VIOP-30 Index closed the evening session down 0.53%. Relative to the BIST close, the U.S. and German DAX futures observed a limited negative trend. There was a mixed trend with negative weight among Asian Stock Markets. Locally, the Benchmark Index is expected to start today with a negative trend, with any rises being viewed as a selling opportunity. Pressure to take profit amid high intraday volatility is expected to continue. SUPPORT: 4,728 - 4,610 RESISTANCE: 4,884 - 4,942.
