FITCH TO HOST TÜRKİYE PANEL TODAY
• Despite a positive opening to the session, the BIST100 faced sell-offs in the second half of the day, closing half-percent lower at 9645, and turnover of TRY 104.2bn, on the back of the profit-takings in the Banking stocks.
• The Banks fell by 3.28% after Friday’s sharp gains, and the Conglomerates shed nearly 1%, whereas the REITS and Aviation stocks managed to diverge positively from their peers.
• PGSUS-KRDMD and SISE were the most bought BSIT30 stocks, as opposed to YKBNK-AKBNK and ALARK shares.
• On the Bonds’ side, the 2yr yields fell by 9bps to 45.35%, whereas the 10yr rates soared by 43bps to 45.35%.
• As of print, the TRY is trading flat against both the USD and the Euro at 32.57 and 34.86, respectively, as well as the DXY at 105.68.
• On the commodity front, Brent has surged to $87.52, on hopes that the slowing manufacturing figures will sway the balance towards early interest rate cuts, and Ounce GOLD is trading slightly higher at $2326.
• During President Erdogan’s visit on Monday to Iraq, Türkiye-Iraq-Qatar and the UAE signed a memorandum of understanding in Baghdad to cooperate on the Iraq Development Road project that would connect the Gulf to Europe. Additionally, plans include the establishment of logistics hubs, industrial complexes and the potential integration of oil and gas pipelines. This ambitious scheme is estimated to require an investment of around $17bn, with projected annual returns of $4bn and the creation of a minimum of 100,000 jobs. Türkiye and Iraq also signed 26 memorandums of understanding on Monday, covering areas such as energy, defence, trade, water, security cooperation, military training, and agricultural studies.

AGENDA
• On the local front today, The February Housing Prices-and April Confidence Level and Capacity Utilization Rate will be released, whereas on the International side, the Germany IFO and US Durable Goods Orders will be disclosed.
• Please note that Fitch’s panel on Türkiye will also be held today, expected to start at 14:30GMT.

A.Ş. & SONAY Yatırım İnş. Enerji San. Tic. A.Ş. İş Ortaklığı (Best - Sonay Dursunköy Ordinary Partnership) on 19.04.2024. Agreement Value is TRY 1.100.000.000 + VAT.
• BRISA will Distribute gross TRY 3.39 dividends per share today, as well as CLEBI: TRY 63 dps and KCHOL: TRY 8 dps.
