Outlook:
The BIST100 Index started Tuesday on a negative trend, then strengthened with intraday purchases to close at 8,929.88, up 2.43%. This marked a reactionary rise after 6 consecutive days of decline. As the Banking Index continued its positive divergence, up 4.90%, the Industrial Index, too, rose 2.09%. Despite the ongoing short-term risks for the BIST, we consider the observed reactionary purchases normal. However, the BIST's volatile course will continue amid ongoing volatility in FX rates ahead of the election. We think that in the medium term, as rational policies continue to be implemented, sharp withdrawals will present buying opportunities. In global markets, major stock markets closed yesterday with rises ahead of the Fed meeting. While positive pricing continues in Asian Stock Markets this morning, the U.S. futures and German DAX futures are on the decline. The Fed is set to announce its interest rate decision at 21:00 (UTC), and the probability of it keeping the interest rate constant is priced at 100%. The Fed will also announce its future projections at this meeting. We expect the verbal guidance of Fed Chairman Powell at 21:30 (UTC), and the Fed's projections, to shape risk appetite. The VIOP30 index ended the evening session up 0.08%. Locally, we expect the Benchmark Index to start Wednesday with a positive trend and seek to continue its rise if it meets profit sales during the day. SUPPORT: 8,700 - 8,600 RESISTANCE: 9,000 - 9,100.
