Market Watch(Şeker Yatırım)

The BIST-100 Index started Thursday on a positive trend, continued its rise to test a new peak of 5,091 during the day, closing at 5,046.19, up 1.38%. The strengthening of global risk appetite gained momentum after Fed Chairman Powell's message that the December meeting might be the right time to slow the pace of rate increases. The major global stock markets closed the day with a mixed outlook after the strong rise of the previous day. It may be expected that the positive pricing in global markets will continue until the next Fed meeting. The BIST continues its uptrend without any significant correction. While the Index is expected to sustain this uptrend until the next results season, we think that the risk of profit sales after the short-term strong rise continues. However, in the inflationary environment the BIST remains the only alternative investment tool among TRY-based assets. Thereby any profit-taking will merely present a buying opportunity due to strong domestic investor demand. Firm profitability expectations and further available room for valuation in the Index supports the uptrend. The employment data to be announced in the USA today may cause fluctuations in global stock markets. The VIOP-30 Index closed the evening session flat. Relative to the BIST close, the U.S. and German futures observed a negative trend. There was a selling trend among Asian Stock Markets. Locally, we expect the Benchmark Index to start Friday somewhat positively, and regardless of any intraday profit-taking the uptrend will continue. SUPPORT: 5,001 - 4,940 RESISTANCE: 5,091 - 5,144.
